How it works

Pelvic floor training, without the hassle.

You sit on a chair for 28 minutes, fully clothed, and a focused magnetic field trains your pelvic floor passively with around 12,500 contractions. No changing, no preparation. Here you’ll find all the details, from your first session to the technology behind it.

Arrival and initial consultation.

Come as you are

No preparation, no changing, no special clothing. You show up to your appointment in your everyday clothes, whether jeans, workout gear or a suit. Anything works.

2–3 min

A short consultation

At your first appointment, you and the studio talk through what brings you in, your health history and any possible contraindications. For follow-up sessions this step is skipped and you go straight to the chair.

Just sit down.

You simply sit down

You take a seat on the Good Vibes chair just like on any other chair. The seat contains the HIFEM coil. It sends the impulses through your clothing into the deep pelvic floor muscles.

28 minutes that work for you.

The session is passive

During the 28 minutes, the magnetic field coil produces around 12,500 muscle contractions in your pelvic floor muscles. You don’t have to do anything. You can read, check your phone or simply relax.

Stand up, done

No sweating, no changing, no showering. You stand up and go straight on with your day. Some clients report mild muscle soreness after the first one or two sessions, similar to how you feel after an intense workout.

The technology

HIFEM, simply explained.

HIFEM stands for High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic. It’s a technology that reaches where conventional training struggles to go: the deep layer of the pelvic floor.

A magnetic field instead of electrodes

Unlike electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), HIFEM needs no skin contact. The pulsed magnetic field passes through clothing, skin, fat and connective tissue, up to 10 cm deep. That is where the deep layer of the pelvic floor lies.

The deep layer that’s hard to reach on your own

Pelvic floor training with Kegel exercises mainly engages the superficial fibers. The deep layer (levator ani, coccygeus muscle) can hardly be targeted voluntarily. HIFEM engages it while you simply sit.

Around 12,500 contractions per session

A 28-minute session produces about 12,500 muscle contractions without you having to tense anything yourself. The impulses come from the seat; you simply stay seated and can read or relax at the same time.

A plan made up of several sessions

A typical course is 6 to 8 sessions spaced 2 to 3 days apart, followed by maintenance sessions every 4 to 6 weeks. You’ll discuss what your plan looks like with your studio during the initial consultation.

Whether Good Vibes is right for you is something your studio clarifies in the initial consultation, including the cases in which the chair must not be used. You’ll find the most important answers in the frequently asked questions. If you’re active in sports, you’ll find more on our page for athletes.
